Jesus invites you to worship here at Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Founded in 1881, Shiloh Lutheran has been a long-standing congregation with a vital presence in this community. Within our historic doors you will find a welcoming and caring family of believers dedicated to serving our Savior, Jesus Christ.

This website will provide you with information about our church’s history, caring ministries and loving congregation. Please take time to learn more about Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Our Mission Statement

We are an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with a member congregation who has a vision to be a community congregation in both York and Dover. We believe that our Lord has asked us to carry the light of Christ in how we live as individuals in our community, and also how we live as a body of Christians. To that end, we share our Mission Statement of Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church:
We might look back at our past, but it is our future that God is calling us to enter into and work for Him, His Son Jesus and all who need to hear the good news we have to share! Thanks be to God!
Worship Services
We have returned to offering in-person Worship, but still stream services online for those unable to join us. Our Regular Sunday Worship Service with Holy Communion begins at 9:00 AM. Our service is also streamed live on Zoom and to Facebook in our Shiloh Lutheran Group page. Contact Pastor DeAnn at pastor@shilohlutheran.org for log in info.

During the school year, September to May, the Faith Formation Class is held in our Parish Hall at 10:30 AM following worship. This too is streamed live to Zoom and Facebook via the same links, so you may join us virtually if you prefer.

Each Sunday we gather for worship to give thanks and praise to God for what He has done for us in the cross and empty tomb of His Son, Jesus, our Savior and Lord. We believe that worship is at the heart of our life together. Our faith is nurtured and fed so that we are empowered to go out into the world serving the mission of Christ. Our worship is centered around God's Word, including the sermon and the meal of Holy Communion.

We are handicapped accessible, and our sanctuary is air conditioned for comfort. We incorporate multimedia into our worship service to add to the ease of worship, the singing of hymns, and for sharing information about the activities in our church.
